I disagree. It was quite well built and worked on my other projects, but it's flaw is the inability to compress valves over a significant side wall. I was using it on a 1zz toyota engine, the valve springs are somewhat recessed into the head, and there is what I estimate to be a 1/2 inch of height above the valve spring retainer. The armature reaches around just fine, but the portion that clamps onto the valve spring retainer collides with the gasket surface of the valve cover. I highly recommend you inspect your head to see how recessed the valves are, otherwise this will not work for you. On other small heads for things like hondas, or even larger V8 heads that have raised up valves, this should work fine.
