It is the perfect blend of independent learning and teacher guided lessons. The imagery works well for my son who is more of a visual learner and my daughter who does better with the text explanations. Though the read-write learner does need more time with me and the teacher's book as well. We use these books for homeschooling but it seems to be fairly on track with the 4th grade math of the local schools in our area. I could see this working well as a full math course for a student, to supplement an existing curriculum, or as review for kids during the Summer after taking 4th grade math during the school year. I definitely would recommend these workbooks, and have many times to friends and family.
