My hubby uses this at work and also for simple things that I didn't even think of like checking the moisture in wood used to smoke during grilling. It has different options for different wood and we've been able to use it with all types of wood as well. Painting treated wood for instance, the wood has to have a certain amount of dryness before it can be painted...the paint won't adhere well to wood that has too high of a moisture level. The digital read out is simple to read and this could come in handy for people that do projects like wood burning and carving as well. We checked a piece of beach wood we collected for instance for a certain project and this totally came in handy!I received this free in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
