Ron **Q: Hand painted???** A: Eaglemoss always say their stuff is hand painted. In the case of some of their figurines this is probably the case, but the Eagle, like their other Star Trek ships, do not look at all ‘hand painted’ though, I would argue that perhaps the tampographed logos/windows/decals etc on the models are added by hand rather than by machine given the sometimes sloppy application. Generally, though, Eaglemoss products are pretty nice. **Q: What’s it made of? the description specifies die-cast, but not the material. i’m guessing it is not metal?** A: The weight of the model would suggest that it is die-cast metal. For a display model it is a perfect size at 25cm. Comes in a nice box containing a very good booklet and a very discreet stand. Also it has a nice bit of weight to it,If you are a fan of Space 1999 and want a model of an Eagle I would highly recommend this one.
