TERA PUMP Multipurpose Electric Liquid Transfer Pump

I bought this at the beginning of summer for my dad for Father’s Day and we have used it throughout the summer without issue. We were so tired of holding up gas containers that were soooo slow thanks to the anti spill features. This thing fills up some a zero turn tank in less than 2 minutes with very little effort. We do have the container up on a shelf which i think helps tremendously. It has turned that corner of the outdoor shed into our little gas stations. We have used it for diesel a few times we just make sure all the gas has drained out of it before swapping it over. We use a small sla battery to power it and we rarely have to charge it, in fact i don’t think we have charged it this summer so it must not draw much current.

This was a nifty little tool, while it worked. I reached out to company because pump stopped working recently and was advised, "Hello, Thank you for contacting us. We apologize you are having issues with your TeraPump. It appears you may have a circuit board issue. Unfortunately, we do not carry replacement circuit boards or motors as they are manufactured and assembled overseas. We apologize once again, please let us know if there are any other questions. Best Regards, Terapump So I took it apart myself and found...there is NO circuit board. It's straight wired from battery/12v input to motor at pump end. Turns out that my 12v transformer and cord was bad. So disappointed in company's lie. Skip buying this and move on to a trustworthy company!!!

I have transferred about 130 gallons of gas to and from the boat, the truck, the lawn mower, and the tractor since I bought it. It works great and is easy to use. I either use a battery backup, or the batteries on the vehicles. So far it has worked great. It pumps fast and is easy to handle. My only concern is the electrical plug-in is on the handle just above the various tanks. I plan to seal the plug in with a hard polyurethane flexible sealer and only use the DC cable plug-in.

This product works well and eliminates the need to lift a heavy five gallon gas can at an awkward angle. I use it to fill my side by side from a large gas can and this has definitely saved me the headache of overfilling, spilling and holding a large five gallon can at the awkward angles needed to fill my side by side. The pump speed is excellent and you can use it with both a 12 volt car battery or a wall plug. I would highly recommend it. The only downside is some fuel remains in the line and must be drained by gravity while holding the pump handle open. Even doing that, I have had residual fuel spill from the bottom portion of the unit. I now keep a small pail next to the gas can after filling my side by side and draining what I can from the pump, I rest the pump side and handle in the empty pail until it drains.

I really like this for fuel transfer. I’m disabled and during hurricane it’s hard to hold a 5 r 6 gallon gas can while pouring to refuel the generator. I just put inside the gas can and turn on and pump like at the gas pump. You can regulate the flow and can be used for other liquid transfer even. Plus have 2 power source 120 or 12 volt. I’ve used it for even fueling my truck. We had 20 gallons of fuel after last hurricane and used it to pump the fuel into my truck. Highly recommend don’t buy those cheaper imitation transfer pumps that run on batteries cause they’re junk.

I use this to fill up my vehicles from 5 gallons cans and believe me it is much easier than trying to lift and hold the can. The only negative/bad about it is, the nozzle will not fix into the newer vehicles with the capless systems. I have to use the special filler nozzle that came with the vehicles to fix into the gas filler neck then put the nozzle from the pump into the special filler nozzle. It is not that hard and again it is much easier than trying to hold the 5 gallon can up.

Bought the Tera pump because for the price I assumed quality. Quantity it is NOT in my case. I have had it 2 years, but used only 7 times, now it doesn’t work. Money wasted. Update, since AI said my pump was unfixable because motor was sealed, I dismantled the pump. Built cheaply, motor filled with liquid since it is designed to sit inside the fluid when pumping. I never left the pump in a tank unless I was pumping and always carefully handled and stored in a plastic bag. I was sure since the cost was $103 dollars I got quality, not the case. Recommend buying at harbor freight, quality probably just as good. Water visible in the photo inside motor.

I wish I had know about this pump years ago. It is fast, easy and safe. I am looking forward to many gallons of good service from this little baby. Great product, so far. Follow up; I did a test. I left the switch on and then released the flow handle (I stopped pumping) to see what would happen. Nothing happened. The pump did not create an overload and burst the hose or some such thing. It pumps so much gas out at a time it's like being at the gas station. Going to rig it up to my 30 gallon home tank so it is permanent.
