Could someone supply them.** A: the directions are meaningless, I have an 1100 watt microwave and must cook the eggs for 12 minutes just to get medium boiled, haven't tried hard boiled. Do not follow the directions, experimentation is key. **Q: Can someone give me the height of the thing with the lid on? The Nordic Ware site says the width is 8", but I suspect that is the height. Thanks.** A: 8",is the height with the lid on, 16" is the measurement around the egg. This egg is large. If you can imagine an ostrich egg, it looks just like one. I was amazed at its size. **Q: Is this made from a BPA free plastic?** A: BPA never was a health risk and its now official: "BPA-a component of polycarbonate plastic and epoxy resins-which has been used for decades, most commonly as a sealant/liner for canned foods, has quietly been removed from the EPA list of "chemicals of concern." The top does not make a snap sound. Is it defective?** A: The top of mine only sits on it, doesn't latch or snap in place. I'm up to 11.5 minutes for ex-large or jumbo eggs and they are lightly soft in very middle (only a very tiny portion) so I think I'm almost where they need to be. I'm at 6700' so I think the altitude is making this harder to get right.
