I noticed my device getting really hot while in use. Could that be because of transformer is up to 750 w or it's something** A: Do not plug your 30 Watts device directly into the transformer. Connect it with a power strip/surge protector. **Q: We have a 240 volt 4800 watt Duraflame electra heat fan forced garage heater - will this safely work to convert from 120v wall plug?** A: No, not at all. This is only a 1000 watt transformer. You will need a 20,000 watt transformer. **Q: Hi! Can I use this with an air purifier (whispure Whirlpool)?** A: If the air purifier needs a good ground connection it probably won't work. I've got 2 of these (different sizes) and they both have very bad ground connections.(Dangerous) **Q: How much % efficiency for step down 240 to 120 usage?** A: Almost 76% ## Frequently Bought Together - Simran THG-1500T Step Up & Down Voltage Transformer Converter for 110V & 220/240V 1500W - Rediform 56031 Record Book, Record-Ruled, 300 Pages, 12-1/4-Inch x7-1/4-Inch, Blue --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.uk/products/34960501-simran-4000-watt-step-up-and-down-voltage-converter-transformer](https://www.desertcart.co.uk/products/34960501-simran-4000-watt-step-up-and-down-voltage-converter-transformer) --- *Product available on Desertcart United Kingdom* *Store origin: GB* *Last updated: 2026-10-09*
