Very handy learning book for kids

The practice examples inside are very good. It is way beyond of my immigrant english imagination and helping me to help my kid with his studies

Although the cover of this book is very bland, once you open the book it is actually very child friendly with activities that are perfectly pitched for a child first starting reception. The book starts with the very earliest stage of phonics encouraging children with their listening skills, observation skills and to think about sounds before it even moves on to the topic of letters. This is important to make sure that they are ready to start to learn to read. Next it moves on to segmenting and blending the sounds in cvc 3 letter words and as the book goes on it starts to cover harder sounds like diagraphs. The activities are quite interactive and engaging with aspects like colouring and matching. It is a work book for kids to complete rather than a reference book to refer back to. Overall this book is very well designed at an idea level for reception so it’s great for my 4 year old

This has been great for my little girl, its a fun way to get some early learning in before she starts school and she's enjoyed going through all the activities so far. Great head start.

The book is very easy. It is probably best suited for the first half year of Reception, but then all children progress differently, so can be used for tge full year too. It has progress tests (3), easy too. And answers at the back. It is structured but I did find it not challenging enough.

We used these during lockdown to encourage home learning so I was pleased to get offered this for my youngest who just started reception. On opening the books really eye catching and interactive and starts with basic phonics and gets harder but always has answers available. I find this is great to use at home and my daughter really enjoys it even if it's just discussing and not actually doing it yet . It also surprised me how much she was capable of that I didn't know she could do! I look forward to working through the hole book with her

My grandson really liked this book, he's going to primary school soon so this is perfect for helping him prepare. I didn't find anything wrong with it and all the work was suitable with his age group.

It’s very interesting phonic book for my kid. There are lots of pictures, which are easy to use and quite attractive for attention. Highly recommend.
