Like others noted, the assembly instructions need improvement, particularly when attaching the wheels (one side uses 2-washers, the other 3-washers). When assembled it comes together solidly. This replaced my old Scotts Pro-Edgeguard (gear assembly wore out), as it takes on quite a bit of product weight in the hopper. Calibration instructions for product measurement are pretty involved and there is a translation chart on the web (compares to other spreaders). What worked for me, was to load my products (seed and fertilizer) and vary the settings for a distribution rate that looked reasonable.
