I am an open an honest reviewer on Amazon and I am not paid or compensated for my reviews. As a credited reviewer of this book I feel I should post my thoughts about what I found. I was asked to provide QlikView-related expertise, recommendations and suggestions that can help improve the readers' knowledge and smooth-out any content-related rough edges. I had the pleasure of reading each chapter as it came in for my review. My review is based on the knowledge within the book, not the writing style or assembly of the book. Being I have worked with QlikView before in a prior life and knowing most of the basics, I would say that this book is a great addition fort hose looking to supplement existing QlikView knowledge. I feel it can help identify key areas of your business where the data models, best practices and examples provided would fit. It also covers a variety of industry verticals, such as providing examples of Sales and Marketing applications and models. Besides the technical knowledge, the author does bring in his own life experiences which helped round-out the overall book. In my opinion, you don’t really need to go through every chapter in sequence. After I received a copy of the book when it was published, I believe using the index and table of contents might be sufficient to skip around to what is interesting to you or what may be relevant to what you are looking for.
