I used the wheels and motors, but not the acrylic chassis plates, as my project was built from 3D printed parts. The wheels and motors all perform well, so I'm very happy with them. **Q: Do you need to create a PID feedback loop with the encoder values or is there samples for that?**
A: I have not tested my software yet, but I am going to start with just wheel movement counting. I used this technique on a differential steered autonomous car that roams my apartment. That car uses IR and Ultrasonic sensors to measure distance to obstacles. I found that the update rate for the distance sensors was too long and the car could crash between readings. I switch over to use the wheel count to measure distance when the reported sensor distance is below a threshold. That car would benefit from using a PID as the left/right motors tend not to speed track. I don't have much experience with PIDs, but noting the that there are 20 slots in the encoder wheel you should be able to implement a PID controller. One very useful library is the Arduino PID library.

**Q: Just to clarify to connect the motor to the motor controller do we need to solder on the wire or is there somewhere the pin attached onto?**
A: There are two metal pins on this motor, and the control wires needs to be solder here

**Q: If i purchase this kit and attach an arduino board, will i be able to start programming right away or will i need to import some sort of library ?**
A: There’s no code and no real instructions.  The demo of the car driving around is someone who got a motor controller of some sort, an arduino, and figured out how / found some way to program this.  This is not a turn-key kit, it’s a base, wheels, and motors with no other guidance.  
They offered to help with code in the Q&A if we contact them...if only we had their contact information!
