I say somewhat because every now and then I may see a small spider. You may as well sit there and say "Go away spiders!" and expect them to just scurry away. I was fooled by what appear to be genuine reviews. This thing flashes a light and makes a clicking sound all day and night. We are to believe it emits "vibes" repelling insects and spiders. How hilarious it was to see insects AND spiders, sitting right ON the device! Oh an how convenient the instructions say to plug it in and wait several weeks, during which time, your window of return, EXPIRES! We waited a few weeks, and saw even more spiders and all other bugs. We bought 12 of these to put throughout the house. It was a nightmare, and we finally paid liek $500 to an exterminator to take care of the problem. I suggest not buying these ridiculous empty-shell plastic things, and buy a gallon of Begone from the hardware store instead. Spray it on all the edges of your home, inside and out and that'll work well. Or hire someone.
