I put the gel on first and then this for extra potency and I am not going to lie I was shocked by how well this worked. My bruises (even old very prominent ones) were about 50-75% better after first applying. It really helps with discoloration and made me feel more comfortable wearing shorts again with large bruises on my legs. I kept applying for several days and the discoloration was nearly gone. The lump from the bruise was still there where I could feel it but all of the colors had faded. I highly recommend this for athletes or anyone looking to heal bruises quickly. I do prefer the gel only because it dries faster, but I do combine both when getting out of the shower whenever possible because I do think they work well together also after the gel dries. I feel i can rub the lotion in more than the gel

**Q: How is the bruise cream different from regular cream?**
A: I have “senior” skin according to my nice doctor. I work in flower beds and get bruised. Make beds, get bruised. I could go on. So I asked him if I could do anything and he said “arnica” cream.  So I tried it, skeptical of course. Now my friends are buying it too.  No idea why it works but it does.  Some bruises lighten quickly, others in center with rim fading and yet some not fast but you can tell working.  So I recommend.  Key is to apply as soon as notice bruise.  Hope this helps…I am a believer.

**Q: can it be used for swelling from wasp bite**
A: I have used it for some severe bug bites. But my personal opinion is that it will help with the swelling and bruising.

**Q: Can it be applied on face with sensitive skin? does it clog pores?**
A: I used it on my face & leg.  I fell & obtain a huge black R-eye, bridge of my nose & a little on the other side of my face.  Thus I  applied said cream 3 to 4 times a day & within a week almost 90% of the black & blue (plus multi other coloring) was gone.  Did not clog my pores.  Wish you well.

A: I've used both.  I found no significant difference in how they worked.

I have toddler twin boys. They are constantly bumping into things, hitting each other, falling, etc. They also bruise me quite a bit- they’re just little rough necks! Needless to say, we needed something because I hate when they look all battered up. I apply this immediately after an injury, as well as an ice pack. There’s Frieda Mom ice packs have a thick, thick covering, so you get coolness without the bite of straight ice. Anyway, that’s the knockout combo for pain relief, and the bruise hardly even gets a chance to form! Whatever does show up is mild and gone within a day or two, as opposed to a week. Any redness, like cat scratches, or them hitting each other (and it’s been too long since their nails were clipped) is gone before the end of the day. It’s like magic! It’s thicker, but not like an ointment. Easy to use, and plenty in the tube. We use it multiple times a day for maximum effectiveness. I think it even helps with swelling. I’m a hard working woman, so my hands, arms, and legs are constantly getting banged up and scratched. I feel like this helps to keep me pretty!
