First off, the blades are thin and flexible, so they’re not heavy duty. In fairness though, these are advertised as paint and putty scrapers/knives, so you wouldn’t expect them to be. I bought them for spreading filler and scraping paint. They do a good job with the first, but are a little hit and miss at the second. They should be fine at taking wallpaper off walls with a steamer but I’m trying to remove paint off an old wardrobe with a heat gun. The blade seems a little too flexible and thin for my purpose as the scraper keeps getting stuck in the wood, but it works better on other surfaces. Indeed, I’ve had to revert back to my old fashioned chisel knife with wooden handle to really make progress.
