Latter was important to me, cause without this, there would have been no sound for my stereo setup. I needed some accessories: US/EU connector adapter (the unit works with all voltage), coax-digital cable, DAC, RCA cable-pair, but after I bought and connected everything, a miracle happened: I could watch my American Discs! But most important test is the picture quality, what is better than I expected from a budget player! The machine default is region A. To change to either region B or C you need to first open the drive slot and while empty depress the blue button for region B and red button for region C. If you need to switch to region A without turning the machine off depress the yellow button. There should have been a separate sheet with these instructions included with the machine. **Q: What is the model number for the remote control if I need to buy a replacement?** A: RMT-B126A - Also, as a note, I have a Sony BDP-S560 Blu-Ray Player and that remote also will interact with the S1200 as well as the S1200 remote interacts with the BDP-560. The reason I am telling you this is should you have another Sony device with a remote control you may find both remotes interacting with both devices. This can be a hassle when you're wanting to watch something using the S1200 and every time you turn it on by its remote the other device comes on as well.
