What is non-vegan about beeswax? To my thinking it is made in the body of the bee from pollen from flowers. Thank you.** A: It depends on how strict you are as a vegan. People who are not vegan only think of the body of an animal. This should not not contain any body parts. I believe the worker bee makes the honeycomb from honey. If you do not believe in eating honey, then you probably do not consider this to be vegan. You can probably find a synthetic beeswax mouthpeice. **Q: For seller:there are many polymers; ex. plastic, acrylic, clay, mixed, etc. exactly what is the polymer? is it clay? acrylic? similar to pvc? toxic?** A: I believe it is pvc, which is why I picked this one so it could maybe survive the grand kids **Q: Is there a way to disinfect or clean the mouthpiece, so that multiple students can play it?** A: I take an alcohol wipe and carefully wipe the inside of the didge. I am not sure of how to clean the beeswax mouthpiece. I have not tried this, but I would guess that use an alcohol wipe and do a test area first, away from the mouthpiece. If there is no adverse effect on the beeswax, then proceed I would guess. **Q: Im a wood/stone/bone carver. Would i be able to carve thing's into the surface w/o affecting sound?** A: This didge can tolerate some very light carving in the surface, but considering it is not a piece of wood and is only a few mm thick, it probably isn't going to be a top pick for custom carving designs into it.
