She loves to bake fresh fruit pies to take to gatherings so I know she will love this double pie carrier. I am very pleased with the quality of this handmade basket and it was delivered quickly.In my opinion the wood used felt kind of dry so I applied a coat of 100% pure food grade mineral oil and let that soak in, then rubbed off any remaining oil. The next day I applied a thin coat of Howard's beeswax. Note, the maker had applied a light waxy stain to the wood which likely prevented some of the oil being absorbed but it feels better after the oil and beeswax treatment.
