Although the biblical pictures aren't amazing, they are certainly good enough to function as a visual placeholder for praying without a set of rosary beads. The paper is a flexible laminate, so I expect these seventy-two pages to travel well. I would describe the content as very complete. It contains all of the standard prayers as well as several common but optional prayers. It includes brief reflections and prayers specific to all four mysteries (updated in 2002). Oddly, it erroneously edits (on page 8) the text of Mary's 1917 "Fatima promise" to include the 2002 additions. That is misleading and unnecessarily revisionistic. But the booklet has a nihil obstat and imprimatur!?! I agree with other reviewers who find the book's structure to be odd. I would have prefered the prayers to be grouped with the "how to" instructions at the beginning of the book, and for history and variant practices to be at the back. As it is, the book feels disordered. This would likely not bother someone who has prior experience praying the rosary but it could be difficult for a newcomer who expects simple, step-by-step instructions. Even so, I bought several copies, because this is the best little rosary booklet that I have found (and I have collected many over the decades, pun intended). Five stars for that.
