Chegou estragada e eu quis devolver, só tinha como fazer devolução por uma transportadora que não existe na minha cidade. Para ser devolvida pelos correios eu teria que pagar do meu bolso o envio pra depois correr atrás desse valor pra reembolso. UM ABSURDO! No final das contas optei pra gastar e arrumar ela com um técnico aqui na minha cidade. Gastei o valor de 290 reais pra arrumar. Agora a avaliação da cafeteira: tu espera um produto de qualidade, mas ela é toda de plástico. A gente paga essa fortuna pela marca apenas.

When we finally made the decision to purchase this coffee maker not going to lie the reviews made it harder to decide as it is a very expensive coffee maker for what you are getting. But we are very happy with it! It looks great on counter and the machine itself is very easy to use and the beeping sound is not loud at all. The spot where the water goes is a little tighter than we would like but nothing that should stop you from buying it. We are loving our new appliance!

This is one of my best purchases in a long time. I’ve been looking at this coffee maker for a few weeks debating to purchase it for the price. When it arrived I loved so much, but after my first coffee I knew this was one of the best purchases so far in a long time!! The vintage style, the color and the coffee it makes are worth the money!! Love it!!!

The outer design of this machine is beautiful. The functional design is however worse than the cheapest coffee machine you could possibly buy. This was shocking as SMEG is known for their amazing industrial design. With a cheap coffee machine you can fill the carafe with water and then simply pour it into the machine's water reservoir. Well, not with SMEG. With this machine you will awkwardly tip the carafe to avoid the non-fully opening lid all while spilling water across your counter. When you can't pour anymore you will discover there is still water in the carafe and yet the machine probably needs to be topped up a bit more. There is no actual way to fully empty the carafe. (I thought maybe I was daft, but in reading other reviews I have learned that no, it's not me. SMEG truly thought this is how people like to prepare coffee.) Now, once you've finished splashing around you add the coffee, close the lid, and press the power button twice. Not once. Twice. SMEG wants you to be absolutely sure that coffee is what you desire. Can't be too safe. Speaking of safety, once you've maneuvered the safety mechanism of the double tap you are informed at high decibel that the machine has accepted your request and will begin its coffee making routine. It's really important that your whole neighbourhood know this. I can only imagine how many prototype iterations SMEG must have gone through to get the sound this loud and deafening. It really sets it apart from all other coffee machines. So, time passes and the coffee has finished. You'll know because a second beep has punctured your ear drums. Loudness aside you must know this is not the time to be idle. Put down your newspaper or phone right now because you only have a few minutes left before the machine turns off. The products cut sheet will boast of a twenty minute warming cycle. What they leave out is that twenty minutes begins when brewing starts. Seriously, you'll be taking your first sip when you hear yet another banshee cry, or rather beep, telling you the machine has proudly kept your coffee warm, for about ten minutes, and now must shut down. Anyone who feels ninety minutes of warm coffee should be the standard simply are not as smart as SMEG engineers. I mean, we've all become so lazy with lesser coffee machines allowing time to savour your beverage and reflect on your meaningful life. SMEG knows this is just wasted time and nothing will get you started into your day faster than making you sprint to your SMEG coffee machine to refill while a visage of heat still remains. So, with all this in mind the decision is easy. You are a discerning consumer. You appreciate pretty things. Buy this SMEG coffee machine. You'll certainly regret it, but your friends will respect your design taste.

I've never owned SMEG, but I think this purchase will change that. Great build and nice design. Love the 4 cup brew option and the fact it doesn't burn any coffee by turning off the heating plate within 20 minutes.
