If you use a reasonable needle size like 21-23 Gauge it will auto seal - so one can do multiple punctures. After several hundreds of punctures the arm may develop a couple of minor leaks. As these leaks come from the tubes under the skin - one cannot suture it closed - but one can actually use the arm for practicing suturing skills - it works well for this purpose! Trust the answer helps! **Q: can you practice placing iv in arm and back of hand both?** A: Yes indeed - one can practice phlebotomy / IV procedures on both the ventral forearm as well as the dorsum (back) of the hand. **Q: Can you buy replacement skin and veins?** A: Hi Kelly, at this pricing replacement skin and veins is not available.
