I've used it mounted on a single mic stand, and liked it so much I also bought a side-arm mount to use the holder on my boom stand when I play with the band. I had tried another holder that was supposed to fit my iPad Pro without taking the cover off, and it dropped the iPad 3 times in the first 10 minutes of use. The Manos has been sturdy and reliable, no drops, turns easily to change orientation, and it's quick and easy to mount/unmount the iPad WITH the Otterbox cover still on (I do have to take the pencil off but the pencil will magnetically stay on the side of the metal stand so it's still readily accessible).
