(Titanium works best and is cheap) Fine point Shrpie or pencil. Phillips Screwdriver These are 3/4" wide, so at a minimum, with door fullly closed you will need a surface of 3/4" for both the latch and reciever side. The minimum distance with the door closed from the outside of the latch to outside of reciever side is 2" in order for it to lock. So if your door frame or outside trim is less than 3/4" with a distance from outside to ourside of the mounts of 2", this likely won't work. Also keep in mind that part of your glass is inside the door frame,so you don't want to be drilling holes through and cracking the glass. Mounting (For me) that took less than five minutes. Decide where you want to put it. Put the lock together and hold it in the position you want to hold it and mark the screw holes with the sharpie or pencil. Drill the starter holes. Screw in with Phillips Screwdriver. Simple to mount.
