It has a simple metal clip that is the only downfall of this knife. I replaced my clip with a 3.3" Ulti Clip & am good to go! **Q: Does the sheath have a clip** A: It does. The knife is epic for the price point & goes beyond expectations & the sheath has great retention.However, the clip is garbage & should be replaced with the 3.3" Ulti clip (sold separately). Do that & ya got an epic set up for a quality back up blade! **Q: Made in china?** A: Yes! I prefer the knife to be manufactured in Taiwan, or Europe, such as Germany, Sweden, or the U.K. But, SURPRISINGLY this is a VERY WELL MADE KNIFE! Very sharp edge, and sharp point!
