While I haven't been using them for long time, I sure have given them a beating that they have stood up to valiantly. I got an incredible deal on these, but I would pay double the original price given sturdy they are. Definitely a great value there. Putting these on, they are not as clunky or heavy as they first appear. They keep your joints in a slightly bent position, (the ideal position for skating) but let them move about freely enough.
