A: Mine was used on a 2006 Dakota 3.7 liter V8 and worked perfectly.

A: It is a sensor, it shows the current temp that it is reading whatever it is. Hope that helps.

**Q: How do you screw 19mm threads into a 17mm hole ?**
A: If it doesn't fit it's the wrong one. But if you are determined you can drill and tap new threads. I would call a parts store and confirm the correct part number and order the correct part.
