I received a quote for a professional shade that would have been 800 for the window. I figured I would try this for a whole lot less and see what I thought. I think I will skip the 800 window shade and leave this one. There are a few things to be aware of for fit and sizing- For our bedroom and office half circle windows, there was plenty of shade to make a beautiful shade that blocks a fair amount of light. If your window isn't perfectly half circle, cutting will require some mathematical/shape understanding to get the right fit. My husband had to cut an off-centered V to make it work- he used some blue tape to hold it all tight to do so. Other methods might require cutting to the biggest measurement and then trimming individual pleats. If you have a perfect half circle the instructions should work. One problem with the product- The instructions say to apply tap- but the shade comes pre-taped on 1 side which means when it is fanned out, it doesn't have tape on half of the fan.
