I found that if it is pointed at the ROKU unit it works as normal, but if its not it seems as thought you have to press real hard. As many have said this remote works right off the bat because it operates via IR not RF like the original so positioning the Roku unit in line of sight to the remote is required. Also this remote uses AAA batteries instead of AA as a result it is thinner. As some have said the response is not as consistent as original but I did notice that the OK button sometimes requires more effort at times maybe because it is in the center of the arrow buttons not separate like the original. Bottom line its not the same as you got used to with original.
