They do not fit an A3 flatbed scanner but are overall smaller than the size of an A3 page...** A: Not being aware of the A3 size it would have been helpful to know the dimensions you are referencing. That said It should be able to but there is a max memory/time to complete scanning and once filled with data during the scan the unit displays the data for editing. So a moving the mouse at a fairly quick sweep (the scan will turn a red frame around the optical coverage if moving too quickly) while maintaining a green/yellow outline. Have had to rescan a number of times for some photos because of a time out and memory full. Never inquired if there is some way to increase the memory buffer. Most of my scans are 8-1/2 x 11 pages. **Q: Does it scan photos?** A: I have not tried scanning photos.
