Mine had that look too, but it was only the salt on it. (I looked at it with a microscope, crazy I know) You would see this on any true jerky. Most of the store bought is sprayed with a solution so this won't happen. But doing this, it gives it a slimy feel in my mouth that I do not like. This has no over spray on it. I love it. It was awesome. It is true jerky.
