Are these zinc-plated like Daisy's other BBs?

Yes, they are zinc plated, but far more uniform in roundness, and consistency of diameter than the regular Daisy's are.

Will these work with my daisy air rifle carbine model 1998?

If your air rifle is designed to shoot .177 BB's, these will work. These are premium BB's, with more uniformity in size, than regular BB's. This is what you are paying extra for, in match grade BB's, over regular ones.

Is this really worth the extra money?

I hope they are. I just bought them for my C11 pistol, actually for my magazines. The C11 mags seem to easily spew BBs easily in & out of the gun they just fall out thru' the exit hole.. These BBs are slightly larger & so far they stay in the mag without losing any.

Better fit

For the best accuracy, these are a perfect fit for the Daisy 499B. Also, BC Precision BBs are a. slightly larger diameter than these and fit the Daisy Model 25 perfectly.
