WORKS PERFECTLY
Excellent used it for first time last night on camera lens when the dew built up on tripod my lens kept free from fogging up.On high setting takes around a minute to get hot then set to medium which worked perfectly to keep lens clear, even stops dew build up on lens body & camera body very pleased.๐

Very handy bit of kit
This is a well made and cheap solution to lens misting. I use my one on my camera lens, but the band is long enough to fit a much larger lens. I use a powerbank to power it up and out of over an hour's use, it only used 11% with the lens remaining mist free for the whole session. Really happy with it.

For Chilly Nights or Heavy Dew, This is the Answer!
I use the MSM on my astrophotography lenses, mainly 20mm and 14mm at the moment. Nights in coastal Nova Scotia can get damp, misty, chilly and almost impossible to deal with, when it comes to fogged-up lenses. I was constantly wiping mine with a lens cloth but that left droplets and streaks. Enter the MSM Lens Warmer! It is truly a game-changer. No more cloudy-looking images. I connected mine to a small 20W battery charger, the kind you can use with a cellphone. Inexpensive and lasted all night with charge left in it. So this is a very portable system and has a long USB cord as well. You can set the heater High-Middle-Low and I use Middle for my lenses. Maybe in midwinter I'd go to High but our climate is fairly mild. Nova Scotia is a foggy province, more than a snowy one! At a High setting, I might have experienced somewhat shorter battery life but it's hard to say.Highly recommend.

Good warmth. Needs a high-capacity power-bank.
I just received and tested a pair of these. I wrapped them around a large coffee mug and connected them to a 30,000 mAh powerbank. They were set to โhighโ and allowed to run for a few hours. The two strips generated great warmth. Not hot at High, but would be adequate to keep a front-element frost-free on a cold night. The power bank was fully charged at the beginning of the run and down to 9% after 7 hours of powering both strips.I would have appreciated a bit more insulation on the outer side of the strip, because it was warm to the touch, so was losing heat unnecessarily. But maybe this helps to warm the ambient air and impede dew formation as well? The controller was easy to use and the USB cord of decent length to reach a power source at the base of a tripod.Very satisfied so far. Iโll be using them tomorrow night to grab the full moon!

Essential for night shooting in the south!
I use these as lens heaters for astrophotography in Alabama. (Extreme humidity...without heater, lens fogs either immediately or within minutes in the summer time.). Usually works well at low or medium setting. I used "high" last night (85% humidity) and the entire camera was warm in the am. Lens fogged after being brought outside from air conditioning but the heater 'defogged' it within 30 minutes. Powered all night with a 20W battery pack with juice still left in the am. USB plug in very convenient. Solidly built and works great.
