When you're using the selfie stick four hours, the your wrist starts to fatigue and loosen its grip on the extended device at the end of a stick, this is simply because you don't have a counter balance. By attaching this device at the bottom of your selfie stick, you're adding that additional counter balance at the bottom, allowing you to hold the selfie stick for hours longer without feeling any wrist strain.
