I installed this with 5 gallon bottles to make ice, next to a cabinet, to the fridge. It works great. The noise level is minimal and we get fresh clean ice. One time, when the bottle ran dry, it started making a noise and stopped working. We loved it so much, we purchased another unit, thinking that over time, it just ran its course and failed. Upon installing the new one, the same thing happened, it was making a noise and not pumping the water. After re-reading the instructions, apparently, there was an air bubble in the tube. I had to remove the tube from the pump that ran from the fridge and run it, the air bubble cleared and it started working fine. Please try this before you order a new one! We now have an extra one, just in case it ever fails.
