## Description

STRATA_MAT is a next generation high performance uncoupling mat for use under ceramic tile and stone installations, for both residential and commercial applications. Designed to replace traditional underlayment materials. The unique patent pending design of STRATA_MAT provides for an enhanced mechanical bond of the adhesive mortar and provides for faster drying of the mortar, allowing for shorter time to grout. Specifically designed for use with both modified and unmodified mortars, STRATA_MAT allows for the proper adhesive mortar to be used with porcelain or large format tiles and stone.

Review: Very easy to install. - Great to use. It is also thinner than hard board and cheaper than Ditra if you don't need waterproof.
Review: Isolates tile and silences creaking OSB subfloors - This product works well and silenced the poorly installed OSB subfloors in our large bath. You do not have to go straight to tile installation, in my case I installed the Stratamat and came back the next day to lay my tile and it worked out perfectly. This method of matting will require tons of mortar to get the job done but until they device a better method, this beats the heck out of backerboard and insane screw patterns.

This product works well and silenced the poorly installed OSB subfloors in our large bath. You do not have to go straight to tile installation, in my case I installed the Stratamat and came back the next day to lay my tile and it worked out perfectly. This method of matting will require tons of mortar to get the job done but until they device a better method, this beats the heck out of backerboard and insane screw patterns.

Ditra clone, cheaper and cures faster because of reliefs in the product, not water-proof like Ditra though. Much faster and easier than cbu, excellent crack prevention.
