I’ve used Copper leaf which tarnishes quite quickly and goes a green metallic colour which is the finish I was looking for. I used PVA to glue and two coats of clear Yacht varnish to seal. I’d imagine Gold doesn’t oxidise as much as copper. **Q: Can this product go inside a lightshade** A: The important thing to remember is that this gold/copper leaf is lighter than a feather but it can be applied anywhere so long as you apply "sizing solution" to the surface first. You then glue the surface with a mild adhesive ( definitely not super glue) and apply the leaf onto the surface using a very lightweight brush or using your breath.
