A Table in the Wilderness

I’ve had this devotion several times and I give them away. It is so good! Watchman Nee was truly about the Lord in this life and his teachings show it. Highly recommend this devotional!

A Table in the Wilderness is truly one of those timeless classics. My copy is a well-worn friend, the pages keep falling out but I won't replace it. I recently purchased 5 copies to give to my two sons and two sons-in-law and a friend. Each time I read it I glean something different as I should, I suppose. I've put in side notes of what God was speaking to me at the time. Watchman was a bold and dedicated follower of Messiah. His insights and stories are inspiring, make you uncomfortable at times (in a challenging sense), and comforting (in the sense of gaining a greater awareness of the truly amazing grace of God). His daily commentary will assist you as you meditate on God's wonderful love story to us, the Bible. Purchase this book if you dare.

Watchman was a profound disciple of Jesus Christ and his insight has benefitted us greatly. His life perspectives continue to challenge us to seek Jesus even more fully in depth with full abandon.

This is one of the best daily devotion books around. I like it better than Oswald Chambers which is saying a lot. It gets me started on days when I can't seem to find God with a flashlight. On the other days it directs and encourages me a lot. I recommend it for all believers.

I alternate yearly between A Table In The Wilderness and The Joyful Heart. These are the most spiritually profitable devotions out there. They are not written to learn doctrine but to help discover and maintain our life in Christ.

I am startled at times by his vision and clarity. Starting my day with him has been one of the best things I can do.

Best daily devotional I've ever run across. This is my favorite book next to my King James Bible. Every day I read the entry I say "wow! Who was this man?" I am amazed at what this man has to say about each scripture.

This devotional is compiled from the Watchman Nee's written material, and is excellent in what was included in daily segments as to length and content. Mr. Nee has such deep spiritual insights and are always worth reading.

I have read this inspirational book since 1968. Daily it continues in its freshness, to be a source of divine grace and truth. Always it points to the Almighty God with whom Watchman Nee had a heart to heart, life-giving friendship.

This is an excellent way to start reading the bible. Every day brings a new thought to consider. Sometimes it's difficult to understand what is being conveyed, but reading the whole chapter and not just the daily verse, gives you a great insight into gods words. It's a daily reminder of your faith and how to keep it strong.
