Def prefer this over the typical smaller light for just the front portion. It is slightly bulky. Not too much so that it's uncomfortable though. Does leave plenty of room for your tongue. And, No. it does not have a timer, but how convenient that it plugs into your phone- Timer at your finger tips. Also, it is not a moldable mouthpiece. Therefore, I highly recommend using this with strips rather than gel. The gel was messy and didn't work very well for me. Almost all of it seemed to mix in with my sylvia. Gross... I know. I did buy a regular retainer case for it (which was suggested) to store it in. Unfortunately, this was too big for it. Definitely make sure you grab a larger case.
