It's possible, since we are city dwellers, that there was too much light in our front yard and this interfered with performance. That being said, I don't know why the lights worked for 2 nights and then nothing. The lights were beautiful FOR 2 NIGHTS. They came just as promised and actually had some charge when received. The 1st night, after charging for at least 7 hours, they were still nicely lighted when we went to bed at 11:00, Weather the next day was mostly overcast so no worries when the lights started to fade at about 9:00. Wrong, the lights never worked again! The chargers are in direct sunlight and we've had many, many days of full sun. I originally planned to return both strings, but have decided to keep them for next year and use in back where there are no street lights.
