However, you have to understand the marketing world vs reality. I'm assuming you are using 15A power tools and possibly ~10.5A vac system. Unless your power tools and vac run at 15A continuously and your vac is drawing ~10.5A like a hungry monster based on the marketing "peak" power rating, it's time to investigate with your own current monitor that can be purchased for not much money. I use an oldie but very functional Ridgid R4512 table saw, rated to be at 13A "peak". When it first kicks up, it draws 10A and tapers out around 8A. When it's under extreme cutting stress pulling out every watt to cutt through hardwood, it may peak around 12.5A here and there and reduces back to 8A on standard cutting. Same for my Dewalt 10gal shop vac I got from Costco. 5A "peak" means absolutely nothing. On startup, it draws 4A and tapers out to 2.5A. Under stress, such as slapping it against a flat surface to induce a stressed clogging scenario, it pulls 4.2A and then drops to 3.6A a few seconds later. No 5A peak. This switch has a delayed turn on for the vac unit to offset the circuit tripping to accommodate for the duo power tool initial draw. So, first thing first, investigate your power tool consumption. If your power tools actually draw 26A continuously, best to switch up to a 240V vac switch and 240V line to bring down the total A being drawed. Continuous 26A on any 15A or 20A circuit is a hazard for a nice fire in the long run. **Q: I realize there is a delay feature to avoid overload, but does this have a circuit breaker in case you do exceed the amp rating?** A: Apparently not. I often trip the panel breaker when starting up the saw…even with the vacuum delay. **Q: Will this work with the rikon dust collector model 60-200, 2hp, 115v. 16a.** A: The description says max of 15 amps, so 16 amp dust collector will overload this switch. **Q: Will this work with my 110v harbor freight dust collector and 110v grizzly table saw?** A: Yes, it will. It’s easy to use and works perfectly every time. I use it for my shop vac so can’t comment on connecting it to a dust collection system. I looked at a few of the other switches before purchasing this one and none were suited for my needs. Others were two plugs for vacuums and only one for tool. The Otis switch is designed so that two tools can be plugged in at once with the ability of either one to trigger the vacuum. I’ve used it on a variety of tools including my job site table saw and a small router table without any problems. I’ve dragged it around, dropped and stepped on it multiple times and still no issues. Lately I seem to be using my miter saw most often so the switch is now mounted next to the saw but still accessible so that I can reach it and plug in whatever other tool I may need. I like having the option to turn the switch to auto, off, or on. The shut off delay times also come in handy depending on the circumstance.
