I have used a lot of stains before and this is my first time with a tint. It worked great. You can really control how much color is added so much more easily this way than with stain. Great product and fast shipping. I'm happy! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Like using dyes instead of oils *by on Reviewed in the United States 17 October 2026* Finally found a color that got wifey approval. Oil stains were making me sick. Mix this with alcohol, so odors dissipate fairly quickly, hours not days like the oil. Will say the only problem is brushing a finish. The dye seems to "lift" off a little easier than oil (though oil did, just not as much). So I spray a finish on. Smallish areas rattle can, otherwise break out the HVLP sprayer. Large areas (indoor) like polycrylic satin (which you can get in a rattle can). PS: rattle cans take some practice - - lacquer is a little more forgiving for smallish areas and dries quickly for multiple coats. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I love this stain, it’s the be *by on Reviewed in the United States 11 March 2019* This stain is very nice. It dilutes with water, no terrible smell and very easy to apply. It applies evenly and a little goes a long way. I stained a double size barn door and still have almost a full bottle left. The color is beautiful, best stain I have ever used. ## Frequently Bought Together - TransTint Dyes, Dark Mission Brown - qt Zinsser 304 Clear Zinsser, Bulls Eye 3LB Shellac - Wood Dye - Aniline Dye 5 Color Kit - Wood Stain Powder --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.uk/products/329710722-transtint-dyes-dark-mission-brown](https://www.desertcart.co.uk/products/329710722-transtint-dyes-dark-mission-brown) --- *Product available on Desertcart United Kingdom* *Store origin: GB* *Last updated: 2026-11-02*
