THE PRODUCT IS IDENTICAL. **Q: Will this filter work ok with synthetic oil?** A: I think what he's asking is what kind of filtering media is it made of. The Enhanced Cellulose media of this filter is usually marketed for conventional oils, whereas the synthetic media of the XP series filters are marketed to be used with synthetic oils. To answer the guys question, yes it will work and filter, however; they say the XP series will work better/longer with synthetic oils. **Q: Good for Corvette 1978 L48?** A: I used the Wix oil filter on my ‘79 L48. It should work on your ‘78 but do your research to double check. **Q: Same as ac delco pf 454 ?** A: Not familiar with delco.
