This is the one exception I've found. These puzzles are challenging but worth the effort. Only a few require pencil-testing and erasing to try alternative solutions. Even then, the correct answer reveals itself fairly quickly. And the puzzles are very large, so each one presents hours of entertainment. This is not a book you will zoom through in just a week, so it's excellent value for the price. I will definitely purchase more Hashi from this author. If you're into Hashi, this is an excellent choice. I just wish the author would make some of his other books (Slitherlink and Kakuro, in particular) as accessible to casual puzzlers like me.
