Review: I air down for beach sand travel in my e450 class C rv with LT225/75/16s. that's 6 tires from 80/65 to 15psi on the way in, and of course, on the way out, it's time to air up for the pavement ride home. I was a bit hesitant to go with a 12v setup like this as all the other guys bring their eu3000s and home pancake compressors to air up. I don't have that kind of storage space so I needed something smaller. It has never cycled on me/over heated given i'm on the beach in the blazing sun most of the time and do 6 tires, not 4. It gets me to 50psi pretty quick - 3 min or so a tire. And i usually do this. Get them all up to 50, so that IF it fails, at least i can hobble my way to a gas station at 20mph and top off there best i can the rest of the way. 80 in 2 and 15 in 4 is not useful. 50-65 and 50-80 take a bit more, about another 3-4 min a piece. The pump has never let me down, but my battery has. I plug into the house battery for the drivers side and use a jump box for the passenger side. This gives me enough juice to get the job done. It's been through several cycles, been in the sand, salty ocean sand, and she hasn't let me down yet. I'm happy with it. I was between this and the viair, but this one was both cheaper and put out more cfm. The gauge isn't accurate- but it's reliably inaccurate. it's like 8 psi off as tested with 2 other gauges. The Smittybilt site describes the 2781 as 160 lpm, which does work out to 5.65 cfm. **Q: What is the compressor maximum pressure? What does the max pressure safety valve on the compressor blow at?** A: I've got 2 of these compressors feeding into a 3gal tank (and controlled by a 120/90 psi pressure switch), and have found that the pressure relief valves on both compressors pop at between 115-120 psi, unfortunately. I just ordered a couple of new 165psi safety valves to swap them out for. **Q: HOW LONG ARE THE ELECTRICAL LEADS ?** A: 7 feet and some inches. with heavy duty clamps. we removed the clamps and installed a jumper cable adapter.
