I sat down and wrote my first entry, and I'm pretty satisfied. I use a fountain pen. I tried this journal first with Noodler's Black ink, but it didn't seem to want to absorb and react properly. The pen skated a little and the ink smudged quite a lot well after it would have dried on another paper. I switched to Carbon Black ink, though, and it was fine after that. The ink didn't bleed through at all that I saw, and there was very fine ghosting, but nothing problematic. I like the little tiny 4mm grid. I think this notebook would look nice with kind of a sepia-toned ink. If you write a line per grid row you can fit a lot of information on one page. Love the paper and the grid. I use these like crazy. I take them to the UPS and have them cut down to TN size. They are great travelers notebooks/planners. Works great with all pens, even fountain. Doesn't do so well with certain gel pens but I am not a pen expert. Page count is great. Book expands very well with use, and adding in pages, etc. Texture it my favorite though!!
