The thermostat will regulate itself and cool down to a normal temperature within an hour or two. The temperature along the perch will range anywhere from approximately 99°F to 108°F. The end closest to the cage will feel warmer than the other end. The perches are not cheap especially when you also have to have a current converter, sent from USA but they are the only ones that I like.
