Perfect for schools
I live in the desert and it gets very hot and windy. I a teacher and I needed something that was easier than an umbrella. I use it for the carpool line daily. It is great quality and everyone has complimented me on it. Great shade, it’s not heavy and works well.

Perfect for prolonged outdoor activities.
I bought it for Pokémon GoFest 2024 in NYC. It is light and easy to use, although you have to dismount the canopy to open and close the shade, it was comfortable to wear. The event was hit with downpour of rain and lightning for 40 minutes. The canopy kept me dry except edge of my T-shirt short sleeves. It is tested against battering rains and when weather cleared, the heat and unforgiving sunlight were kept in bay. I felt lot cooler and surprised how hot the canopy was when I touched the top, which protected me from the sun. The event in Randall Island was limited in shaded areas, and those available were filled with people. I was able to move without getting any heat exhaustion. Many of participants asked me about this product, and that is the reason I am writing this review. Great product for prolonged outdoor event, and just mind the distance between yourself and the others around you.

Works well
This is good contraption. It does keep the sun off. A bit bulky but works well for my husband as he is working outside in the sun. It helps him to be able to see his tablet better in the sunlight.

Works great for 98% of rain based activities.
Thing is great not perfect but my use case is not the normal use case, if you use this while vertical it's fantastic if you try and use it while your torso is at like a 10-20° forward tilt you won't be able to see very far infront of you. Trying to use it while pushing carts, if I were shorter it would probably be fine as well. I may try to modify it but haven't decided yet. For normal rain and sun and most peoples use case it's amazing. Just wish they sold a clear one I'd just buy a second one. Also wish the blue were high vis yellow and that they thew some reflective stuff on the backpack part I think people who work outside would buy them up then.

Bounces around when walking
I bought this to keep the sun off of me while I walk. I usually walk around 12 miles a day— it can get hot in the Southern California sun. The umbrella piece bounced around a lot while I was walking. It was loud and felt like it would break. The bouncing meant that I was only fully covered from the sun some of the time. The wind would blow the cover off of me. While standing still, this thing was perfect. It gave me plenty of shade. This thing is great for watching your kids play sports or other spectator events. It is light weight and easy to use, but just don’t use it for anything requiring lots of movement.

Unsatisfied
I had a problem with the umbrella, it wouldn't close all the way. I wanted to contact the seller and their phone number does not work, they have not responded to dozens of emails, they have not responded to dozens of Facebook Messenger messages, nor any of the many posts I've left on their Facebook page. They included a tiny piece of paper with the product, which says to watch a video on their website about the product, but I cannot find the website and they do not give a link for that website on that piece of paper. They should also have supplied instructions with the product.

So many uses for our family
We use it for most sunny outdoor activities - it's light, portable, and we get so many compliments. My son wears this while waiting for his tennis matches. Then when he plays, I wear it while watching him. Frees your hands so I can use my phonez take pictures. You barely notice it's on. Looking forward to using it in the fall as well when it starts raining.

Kept me Dry Hands Free on a Long Walk
I bought this to keep me dry in the rain on my walk home from work. I am blind, so I always need to have one hand free to hold my white cane. Having to use the other hand to hold an umbrella means I have no hands to open doors, etc. I walked home in the heavy rain the other day, and it kept me and my backpack dry. I wasn't sure if wearing my work backpack on top of this contraption would be comfortable, but it was totally fine. First I put on my coat, then the umbrella, then my backpack. Closing it up wwhen you're done with it is just a little tricky. You have to simultaneously push an indented button on the side while pulling up on the lever, and you have to do this on both sides of the device. But once you get the hang of it, it's no problem. This will definitely be my go-to on days where the forecast calls for heavy rain and I know a raincoat's just not going to cut it.
