## Questions & Answers

**Q: model 1 vs model 2**
A: Amanda,Model 1 is smaller than Model 2 in that it is easier to insert due to its size and flexibility. Because of its smaller size it is more sought after by new cup users who are intimidated by shoving a large object up their private areas. Model two is made of thicker silicone, and is less flexible, but the reviews I read stated that the flexibility of both model 1 and model 2 Lunette are more flexible than other brands. I have a model one and a heavy period for the first two days, in which I empty this cup maybe four to five times that day, and regular for two to three times a day. During my lighter days, I only empty this cup once per day. The model two is not used as often by those who have a regular period, because it is kind of overkill. Also, if you are young, your body hasn't fully developed yet, so your uterus, vaginal canal, they are all smaller; thus the recommendation for model 1 for teenagers. I once came across some great advice in a forum while I was researching cups. This person said; no one can tell you what cup fits you, only you know that. It can be difficult to make a decision based off of what you read, but it can help you come to a conclusion. What is your body like, what is your flow like? Only you know that. If I were asked how I came to my decision of choosing the model 1 first, I would say: even though I get a heavy flow, I wanted a smaller one to try out first, because I never gave birth, I knew my canal wasn't stretched out. The amount of times I empty it didn't bother me as much as how it would fit me, that was the important part. here are some links to help you out.Cup size: http://www.lunette.com/index.php?id=8http://www.lunette.com/index.php?id=28http://theecofriendlyfamily.com/2012/04/menstrual-cups-one-size-does-not-fit-all-lunette-cup-giveaway/Review of the cup itself; advantages, disadvantages, comparisons of Lunette to other brands which help you decide which model size you would want;http://wisewomanfertility.blogspot.com/2011/05/lunette-menstrual-cup-review.htmlhttp://momalwaysfindsout.com/2012/05/menstrual-cup-reviews/This review shows you how big the size 1 cup ishttp://thenotice.net/2011/01/lunette-review-vs-diva-cup/This website gives you photos, and tipshttp://menstrualcupinfo.wordpress.com/lunette-review/The reviews for this product in Amazon will tell you people's comparisons between the models 1 and 2If that's not enough, try Googling model 1 vs model 2, and see what more people have to say!

**Q: I do yoga, which results in me facing in weird directions or upside down. Would this cause discomfort?**
A: I've had this cup for more than two years (about to buy a new one, not because it wore out but because I lost it) and I've worn it doing martial arts, wrestling in all sorts of positions, doing many literal cartwheels, swimming, stretching, and some yoga, and it's never been an issue at all. I can't even feel it. I do usually wear a light liner pad just to protect from the occasional erranous leak but that's really just for my peace of mind.

**Q: I'm 13 and I have a fairly heavy flow, but I'm worried that model 2 will be too big. So should I just go for model 1 and empty it more often?**
A: The model 2 is quite a bit larger. I have a faily heavy flow as well and have never had kids, also I'm 26. It took me awhile to get used to this and stop it from leaking. My only complaint is that it is a lot larger, it hard to pee with it in. It's like it's so firm it cuts off your bladder or presses on it so much that you constantly feel you have to pee. Again, when you learn to position it better it somewhat goes away. The model one worked like a charm. It was comfortable and smaller and even with my heavy flow I didn't find I needed to change it THAT much more. So personally I would go with the model 1. I hope this helps you. :) good luck!!

**Q: I'm 34 and have had 1 vaginal birth but I would say I have a normal flow, not too heavy. Which size would be a better bet for me?**
A: Lindsay,I would say get the larger size one. I got one of each bc I was not sure and the larger one just seems to fit better. I could not get the smaller one to stay in place. Maybe I was doing it wrong? I love my Lunette. It is the best decision I ever made. I just could not do tampons any more after giving birth to my kids. Hope you like it! Good Luck.
