Well after years of going through socks at a rapid pace, one year my wife bought me a bag of these for Christmas, and what a fortuitous day it was, praise you LORD!! So unlike the white, unpadded socks I had been using for decades, these bad boys actually held up to my abuse, maybe even relished in it. These socks last and last, no matter the abuse I throw their way, they don't buckle under the pressure. Don't think I have ever had a hole in pair of these, no rips, no tears, about the only negative thing I can say is they loose their elasticity to a degree over time and with much abuse. My most recent purchase of these were a little different than my previous purchases, the padded bottoms use to be a medium gray and these are closer to a charcoal. Now your thinking what does this unsophisticated barbarian care about color, he wanders around the garden. in his socks for goodness sake! Well the there is a bit of a difference in the material and I prefer the medium gray bottoms, however these are very good as well and look to hold up just as well.
