## Description

Sealed battery disconnect switch with aluminum On/Off face plate. Switch rated for 180 Amps continuous duty or 1000 Amps intermittent. Meets requirements of NHRA and SCCA. Can be used with cars, and motorhomes.

Review: I was looking for a battery cut off switch for my trailer that would be accessible on the outside of my battery box. I didn't want the style that had a removable key, and I wanted one that would be durable. I also didn't want to spend a small fortune on it. This one fit the ticket. It was a little larger than I thought it would be, and I had to change the side of my battery box that I had originally planned on having it attached. It protrudes inside the box by several inches, and it would have hit my battery. I like this switch. It has a nice solid construction, metal instead of plastic. There is a definitive "click" when you switch it on. Now I don't have any parasitic drain on the batteries while in storage, and I can turn off the power even if my battery box is locked. The threaded shank of the switch is flat on two sides so you can get a wrench on it. I decided to drill the hole for it slightly smaller than the shank and then use a file to shape the opening to match the shank. This way when you tighten the nuts down, the switch won't rotate in the opening. I used a dab of RTV silicone behind the outside plate to prevent water getting in the box. I have had this setup for a year now and have had no problems with the switch, or water getting in the box.
Review: As in the title, this is sturdily built and works reliably. I think it should have come with a mounting plate for the high price.
