To get an idead if that works for you or not, take a compass and draw a 5" circle on a piece of paper and decide if that's big enough for you. Also, keep in mind that you have to be real close for an undistorted image. It is a very clear, nice, sharp image and you will see things you didn't know before existed. If you are someone who travels, this is a perfect, travel size, magnification mirror. The suction cup is very strong and the lightweight mirror stays in place. The light is a great, bright, diffused light that really helps you see yourself. I also like how it lights up my whole bathroom if the light is off. This will really come in handy if the electricity goes out; and the button on the face is so easy to turn off and on. Overall, I'm very happy with it. If you want or need a little bit bigger mirror, go for it. But if a 5", magnified, travel mirror is what you're looking for, this is perfect.

**Q: What is the actual size of this mirror?**
A: Hi Tracy.  The actual size of the mirror is 5 inches.

**Q: Will this fit on the shelf of a medicine cabinet without falling out when you open the door?**
A: It's too big to fit in a shelf of a medicine cabinet.. you can put it in the mirror of the medicine cabinet and it won't fall out.. the suction is really good

**Q: Can you pack this mirror in your suitcase without damaging it?**
A: yes you can. However, I would suggest that you wrap it in some bubble wrap, put it in a ziplock bag face down and place it in the middle of your suitcase on top of soft clothing and more soft clothing above it.  It is very sturdy and well made but it doesn't mean it shouldn't be treated respectfully. I am enjoying mine.

A: The light was great... but the magnifying power was too much

This is a very good mirror, though it is a lot smaller than I would've liked. That said, it gets the job done. The actual mirror is 5". This is an EXCELLENT little mirror!! This will be my third over 10 years. I travel a lot and am hard on them. I've dropped mine a few too many times, or forgotten it on a window of a hotel room. It is tough, holding up well to abuse and very bright. Suction cup is the best on the market, never found better, as long as your surface is smooth and clean.
